National Testing Agency is all set to conduct the Common University Entrance Test for admission into post-graduation courses. The authority is inviting all candidates to come forward and apply for the exam. The registration procedure was started by the authority on  20th March 2023 . The exam has witnessed significant increase in the participation this year even as it continued to remain optional for central universities. At least 142 universities, including 38 central varsities, are participating in the Common University Entrance Test for admissions to postgraduate courses or CUET-PG this year, officials privy to the matter said on Tuesday. University Grants Commission (UGC) chairperson M Jagadesh Kumar said that since the schedule for both CUET-UG and CUET-PG was announced well in advance this year, universities got enough time to adopt it. The number has gone significantly up in comparison to last year when only 66 universities had participated in the exam, the officials added. The National Test Agency (NTA) initiated the registration process for the second edition of the CUET-PG late on Monday night and will continue till April 19.
